Stripe Connect Guide

1. What Stripe Connect Is

Stripe Connect is the payout and payments layer we use when you enable hosted card payments on your Dosh.to profile. It lets you accept card payments through Stripe-hosted checkout while keeping your public profile URL.

2. Your Two Modes on Dosh.to

You can use Dosh.to in directory mode, capture mode, or both together.

• Directory mode: share your payment method links.
• Capture mode: collect card payments via Stripe Connect.
• Hybrid mode: run links and card capture on the same profile.

3. How Onboarding Works

In Account → Payments, choose your payout country and start Connect onboarding. You are redirected to Stripe to complete setup, then returned to Dosh.to when finished.

• Country is selected before the connected account is created.
• Stripe account country cannot be changed later on the same connected account.
• If needed, use restart onboarding to create a fresh setup path.

4. KYC, Verification, and Compliance

Stripe handles identity verification (KYC), risk checks, card compliance, and related payment controls for connected accounts. You may be asked for identity and business information based on your country and Stripe requirements.

5. Payment and Payout Flow

When payment capture is enabled, payers can use hosted checkout from your profile. Stripe processes the payment and routes funds according to your connected account setup. Payout timing and availability are controlled by Stripe.

6. Fees on Dosh.to

Platform fee policy is currently:

• Premium handle: 0% platform fee.
• Free handle: 1% platform fee.

Stripe’s own processing fees may still apply under your Stripe terms.

7. Managing Your Stripe Account

After onboarding is complete and charges are enabled, you can open your Stripe Dashboard from Account → Payments to manage payouts, verification details, and account settings.

• Availability depends on Stripe country support and capability rules.
• You are responsible for lawful use and taxes in your jurisdiction.
• Dosh.to does not replace legal, tax, or accounting advice.
